Kennedy Meadows

Info:

Located in the Sequoia National Forest off highway 395 just past Ridgecrest up a very steep and narrow nine mile canyon, mostly intermediate -> advance “motorcycle only” trails a couple 4×4 and quad trails camp in Troy Meadows or Fish Creek for OHV staging and access to trail system, most the riding seems to be for motorcycles, although there are a lot of 4×4 trails that quads and non street legal vehicles were not allowed on, If you plan to stay at one of the “free” overflow campground a fire permit is require, check with the local fire station for current conditions and rules.

Location:

1. From 395 Freeway just north of the town of Ridgcrest past where it joins the 14 fwy you take nine mile canyon road up into the mountains about 20-30 miles depending on where you want to camp and from there you will be in the 6000-8000ft range, most of the OHV riding and campgrounds with access to trails are from the Fish Creek or Troy Meadows campground, and most of the trails I were only about 18″ or less wide.

*Nine Mile Canyon road is a very steep and narrow road, I wouldn’t recommend it for large vehicle and or large trailers, some spots in the road was less than (2) lanes wide.
